Hart voor Tanzania on Omroep Gelderland

31 March 2021

On 31 March 2021, Gelderland Helpt! featured Hart voor Tanzania. Ambassador Carrie ten Napel contributed to the programme about Salah Said’s project. Omroep Gelderland showed why plans for a heart and vascular clinic in Moshi had inspired people in the Netherlands to help.

Support takes many forms

The accompanying article looked back at the project’s beginnings: Said’s 2016 visit to KCMC. The conditions he encountered started the partnership. A first stone had been laid on 11 November 2019, but much remained to be done before the clinic could be built.

The 2021 appeal therefore also called for practical support. Tools for the wheelchair workshop, medical equipment and toys for children’s and rehabilitation wards could all be useful. Volunteers were also needed to clean donated equipment and pack containers.

The programme shows the people behind that support. The wider building plan depends on people contributing what they can, whether experience, equipment or time. Use the links below to watch the recovered Omroep Gelderland video and read the related article.
