RTV Oost’s Christmas special on 26 December 2019 looked back at the Hart voor Tanzania visit. Reporters Teun van der Velden and Hans Bellert had followed the working group in Moshi for eleven days. Their programme brought together the clinic plans and the volunteers’ work at KCMC.
The people behind the project
Doctors, nurses, technicians and building specialists each contributed their own experience. The visit included training, putting equipment to use and discussions with the hospital about the future clinic. November’s first-stone ceremony gave those plans a visible beginning.
People in Overijssel helped too. In the accompanying article, RTV Oost described donations of money and equipment, including a welding machine, school furniture and first-aid kits. These contributions show the range of support for the project.
