A pot of Tanzanian coconut and chicken soup became a contribution to care in Moshi at VV Scherpenzeel. Led by Jasper van der Linden, the football club prepared a takeaway dish from the Hart voor Tanzania cookbook. Served with salad and bread, it gave participants a way to support the project through a meal.
Cooking together in the clubhouse
Jasper, a player in the veterans’ team, cooked with a friend in the clubhouse on Monday 22 March 2021. The club invited people to order a meal in advance. Those who did not order could still donate, allowing people to join in in their own way.
Omroep Gelderland filmed the cooking and collection for Gelderland Helpt!, bringing the initiative to an audience beyond the club. It complemented the programme about Hart voor Tanzania and the cookbook connecting Tanzanian and Twente food.
